It is very important that you know how to measure your sprinklers so that you can order the correct size replacement. Look carefully at the photo below.
The size of a sprinkler is determined by the height of the stem – the part that pops up. The part that stays in the ground is called a canister and should NOT be measured to determine size. Do NOT measure the entire sprinkler, either, meaning the canister and the pop-up. Measure ONLY the pop-up part and that will tell you the size of your sprinkler.
Common Pop-Up Spray Sizes:
- 4” – the most common in lawns
- 12” – the common in flower beds
